In relation to Environmental Education and with the goal of increasing awareness and understanding of the environment and anthropogenic impact, as well as promoting sustainable behaviors and practices, TCM conducts a wide range of activities. These include volunteering opportunities, workshops, talks, and training sessions on socio-environmental and conservation topics. Notable actions include beach cleanups, mangrove, urban cenotes and coral reefs, and reforestation activities carried out in collaboration with various partner organizations.
Additionally, source separation programs are implemented to compost organic waste and recycle plastics, glass, paper, cardboard, and metals, thereby setting an example of good environmental practices and social support.
Inclusion activities are also promoted by inviting children and adults from foundations to participate in aquatic activities with our SSI classified diving instructors, such as snorkeling and diving. Simultaneously, workshops, talks, and training sessions on environmental topics are organized for these same groups. TCM has the facilities, tools, and trained divers to ensure a pleasant diving experience for individuals with disabilities, making it the only universal design diving center in the Riviera Maya and one of the few adaptive diving centers in Mexico.
